Caution :: 56K KILLER POST AGAIN.

Day 3

Woohoo. Woke up on day 3 early for breakfast at hotel itself.

Having breakfast by the pool. So relaxing.

An english breakfast.

After breakfast, we head to the same tour agency(Art of Canoeing) for our island hopping tour. This tour cost 1000 baht per person. I think it’s super cheap. 6 Island including lunch.

Took a tuk tuk to the shore and then on a speed boat and off to 6 islands.

1. Bamboo Island
2. Viking Cave
3. Maya Beach
4. Phi Phi Don
5. Phi Phi Lay
6. Railey Beach

All of the beaches are really pretty with blue green shores. However the snorkeling activity is not that fun as the fishes i saw were pretty limited if compared to Redang. Besides that, the waves are quite big, so it’s hard to swim.

The best part is the speed boat rides. We were camping on the front seat and had to really hold on tight to the railing so that we wont fall off to the sea. And this speedboat is really SPEED boat as it’s super fast. The whole journey is like seating on a roller coaster with occasional ups and down and screaming woooo”. Really fun and enjoyed as i get to see the horizon, the mountains all over the island and also enjoy the super breeze wind that made me tanned. haha

Pictures of us in random order.

Group pic without rames and with this austria guy(i forgot his name) who came traveling by himself. He sits in front with us and kept laughing at our personal jokes and also we chatted a little. A really nice outgoing guy.

Ooo la la. Jacklyn’s hot bod. She’s really ANTM material!

Cherrie myself and jacklyn started posing

all of us. L-R Brandon, Cherrie, Me, Jacklyn, Jed and Rames

Cherrie

The korean girl we got to know on the boat. She’s really really really CUTE ok. And she’s traveling alone as well. Kinda admire her bravery as she doesn’t know how to speak English and Thai but she manage to go traveling and all. Kinda hard to communicate with her but she’s really friendly and cute!

The austria guy posing. lol. On the far right is Wade. Came all the way from California but residing in Shanghai now. An american born chinese. He came with his group of college mates who are equally as crazy as us. ahhaa.

He’s a great cameraman too! He took this pic of me and many other pictures which i think is quite nice.

Wade’s Tattoo. I forgot what it meant. Something something sacrifice.

Woohoo. I love islands! beaches! Ocean! woo!!!

The good looking boat driver and a POSER! haha

He told me a few stories including the Tsunami story which i felt really remorse and sad after. According to him, Phi Phi lay was hit with Tsunami and the night before, the people there were partying, drinking, having fun and some were sleeping. When everyone’s sleeping at 3 am, Tsunami hit and washed off the island. All the coconut trees were down (pics later) and he got a call from a friend saying that the island hit Tsunami and many died. when i heard the story, i felt so sad. i just cant express the feeling as listening it from him, i can tell that it’s quite sad, knowing maybe some of his friends actually died due to natural disaster. sad lo.

And he’s quite a funny guy as well. Since we’re all seated in front of the boat, every few minutes we will give a loud wooo due to the bumpy ride but if the journey is really long, the excitement will die but he will keep it up by screaming “Front seat are you all OK?”

and then we’ll scream “OOOKKAAAYY!!!” haha. Seriously the ride was really fun. :)

Love his skin colour as well. Apparently he’s been working for 5 years already.

Jack the ANTM

We gotta love our sunscreen

A pretty sight to behold

Yes you.

Finally have a chance to take this kinda pic. :D Love it!

after all the island trip which was extremely fun, we head back to Ao Nang Beach to clean up and prepare for dinner.

Dinner last day at Wang Sai Seafood Restaurant again as it’s realllly good. Brandon bought Kuo Ming Tang (Lantern Kong Ming) and we released it after dinner.

Our wishes

after a little more shopping, we head back to hotel and rest.

Me and cherrie went to Sunset Massage to get our hair braided for 30baht per strand.

:)

Love the island trip so much. I think i’m really an islander kinda person. I don’t mind being poor and just stay by the island until i die.

Caution :: 56k killer post.
ps :: no time to photoshop anything so just resize and post. Khor Tot (sorry in Thai)

Day 2

Woke up at 8am the next day for breakfast at Burger King along Ao Nang Beach. Did snap some pics but no need to show la. It looks the same like the M’sia’s one. But the price is much more expensive. My breakfast set was 110baht for scramble eggs, ham and hash browns.

After that we proceeded to our tour agent which is Art of canoeing and camho-ed a while while waiting for tuktuk to take us to Ao Thalene for Kayaking/Canoeing.

And after around 45 mins, we reach Ao Thalene and kayaked for 4KM.

The lake is full with mangrove trees and there are forests and mountains along Ao Thalene. It’s not exactly pretty but it’s nature and it’s like visiting the land of the unknown. 4km is not easy as our arms were struggling by the time we head back to the shore.

One thing funny about kayaking is the way you have to control your boat. Me and Rames were in a boat and both of us kept heading towards the mangroves and i had to lie down on the boat to avoid being hit by the trees. so funny ok. Everytime it happens, i will scream “RAMESSSSSSSS” as he’s controlling the boat from the back. hehe.

Also, monkeys actually stays in this area. A LOT OF THEM. And they eat Pineapple! (Thailand’s pineapple is really yummy! Seriously!)

Our guide with our lunch. hehe. Its really good. I think this is Crystal pineapple( Sui Jing Wong Lai ).

The clever monkey. Omg. These monkeys are damn smart. Once we feed them, they will wash the pineapple first before eating them. Im impressed!

They don’t take it from you aggressively too. Quite tame.

omg. the monkey is just in front of me.

And then it jumped to another boat for food. haha. Quite an experience!

Half Day was spent Canoeing and it only cost a person 500 baht! It’s really cheap!

Posing at one of our rest area

***

After kayaking, we were damn exhausted and tired. But at the same time felt happy and fun for we’ve learn some thing new.

Like for example

malau in Thai means COMING

while Ling means MONKEY

By 3-4pm, we were done and headed back to Ao Nang to rest and relax and bathe.

So some of us went to get snacks!

Best food in Krabi! It taste like our roti but with variations like peanut butter, banana, pineapple and all sorts. The best is the pineapple pancake. It only cost 30 baht. and it’s super duper yummy. Sorry no pic coz lazy.

After bathing, we took the bus to Krabi town at 400baht per person to visit the market and also Krabi Town for shopping.

pimp my tuk tuk

sold in the night market. The one on the far right is Yau Char Kuai. Taste quite good.

There’s nothing much in Krabi Town basically. But we sorta bump into this stall selling spicy pork wanton noodles so we try it out. OMG the way they serve drink is so old skool. They use those metal KOLE(?) that i think was used like in the olden days. lol.

The spicy Wanton Pork Noodle.

OMG. yum yum yum. super tasty! If you add chilli powder and nuts into it.. omg.. taste like heaven (ps, i love spicy food)

Krabi Town

***

After dinner, we return back to Ao Nang for more shopping because Ao Nang is definately better than Krabi town 1000 times.

Me and cherrie bought our pirate scarves for 60 baht each. Shopped till late for everything and especially souvenirs and then went for another massage session(due to our aching arms from kayaking the whole morning) and back to the hotel for the next day activities!

Woots. The next day activity is the highlight of the whole trip!

:)
