Holiday,
Movie,
Music

Mamma Mia is the EPIC HIPPIE movie!
And i think im a hippie lah. It made me realize more than ever that AGE IS JUST A NUMBER. And meryl streep.. gosh.. WOWW. The energy she bring to the movie.. makes me wanna dance and jive and having the time of my life la dammit.
And Imma big ABBA fan and i super love all the songs. Pierce Brosnan kinda a lil funny when he sing some of the songs.. ESPECIALLY SOS.. Feels like im watching a bollywood movie during that particular song but yeah.. if you’re a musical freak you should watch this and then buy the DVD and the SOUNDTRACK and have it on a loop until you go mad.
haha… seriously. YOU SHOULD.
My fav. song :: Thank You For the Music, which i never thought was EVER going to be played until the cast list started to scroll and i went omg… i love love love lvoeleovleovelvoe this song!!!
I can so sing this song to anyone at all right now. Was playing it repeatedly on my keyboard and kept singing until i think i got bored of my own voice. i can even type out the lyrics point blank. =.=
I’m nothing special, in fact I’m a bit of a bore
If I tell a joke, you’ve probably heard it before
But I have a talent, a wonderful thing
‘Cause everyone listens when I start to sing
I’m so grateful and proud
All I want is to sing it out loud
So I say
Thank you for the music, the songs I’m singing
Thanks for all the joy they’re bringing
Who can live without it, I ask in all honesty
What would life be?
Without a song or a dance what are we?
So I say thank you for the music
For giving it to me
Mother says I was a dancer before I could walk
She says I began to sing long before I could talk
And I’ve often wondered, how did it all start?
Who found out that nothing can capture a heart
Like a melody can?
Well, whoever it was, I’m a fan
So I say
Thank you for the music, the songs I’m singing
Thanks for all the joy they’re bringing
Who can live without it, I ask in all honesty
What would life be?
Without a song or a dance what are we?
So I say thank you for the music
For giving it to me
I’ve been so lucky, I am the girl with golden hair
I wanna sing it out to everybody
What a joy, what a life, what a chance
Thank you for the music, the songs I’m singing
Thanks for all the joy they’re bringing
Who can live without it, I ask in all honesty
What would life be?
Without a song or a dance what are we?
So I say thank you for the music
For giving it to me

Movie

you know how i got this scar on my face? One night, my father came home and put a knife on my mouth.. like this… and then he say… “WHY SO SERIOUSSS???” and then.. he look at me in the eyes and sayy…”Let’s put a SMILEEEEE… ON THE FACEE”"…. bam~
spoilers. (=
I think i’m the last to have watch the The Dark Knight(TDK). Since everyone made a big hype outta it, and most if not all bloggers kinda give it a 10/10 rating. I’ve watched most of the prev sequels.. Batman Begins, Return, Forever, etc etc… TDK is yes, the best so far, it only makes sense if it is anyway.
If my previous job does not involve me watching movie everyday, i would give it a 10/10 rating as well… but because i have been to the cinema so often i can yawn at the climax and say boring before you yelp and say OMFG.. i would say TDK was just A OK. Don’t get me wrong… i think it was a great movie just like everyone else, i think the main actors were superb… the plot carefully arranged… the movie with the best villain (the joker), also, it manage to keep all the actors, the city, the whole setting just the same like the prev. batman movies.
i just think the movie lack of oomph.
The action scenes weren’t enough, unlike the prev ones, maybe because he’s against the mafias and the joker. The fighting scene left me feeling.. “HUH? THAT’S JUST IT?omg.. so easy die one..” And the movie was quite lenghty in the beginning(my guess is to build the storyline and tell those first timers for Batman a little of Bruce and etc), and it kept having the impression that the movie is about to end but it wasn’t. There are also a lot of confusing scenes… Remember the scene where Joker was about to blow up the bridge, and the citizens was about to flea Gotham city in two cruises? Boy… i was thinking.. the whole city so few ppl one =.= and why wanna save the criminals leh.. =.= But i like the part when one of them criminal had a twist in his personality and throw the bomb pin outta the window. haha.. and then there was no ending to the whole bomb thing. it kinda left hanging…just like the joker.
There was a scene that i particularly like… which was when batman trapped the kontenna truck joker was in and the truck flipped 180. then i thought batman was going to kill joker with his batpod but he ended up didn’t and joker kick his ass. Oooo.. i also like Alfred with his witty humour and elegance and loyal-ness to the wayne’s family. He’s charming in his own way. I like how Harvey dent become so two faced in the end. sad thing he died. And Heath Ledger was awesome, as always. I like the scene in the police interrogating room. He’s cocky yet funny and twisted at the same time. I also like Mr Fox. He have the same charm like Alfred.
What i don’t like is Batman’s voice. OMG… why he have to sound so deep, manly and as if he’s speaking from the throat when in suit (Its so that people will recognize that he is Bruce). The voice was kinda irritating, i think. I also don’t like Maggie as Rachel. She don’t look like the girl a superhero would fall in love with. But i guess she tried her best and all. She just doesn’t fit the bill lah. Katie Holmes was better, at least i thought she is. and i don’t like the ending. All batman ending is like that.. making you know that there will be a sequel, but i guess thats how they want it to be.
somehow, something is wrong somewhere…
The movie is still awesome nontheless.
Okay. you may disagree with me but that is just what i feel. My opinion. My critiques.
Don’t be so serious ok.
